The Story Behind Bärbel
Bärbel Interior Design was named after founder Coralynn Buss’s mother, whose creativity, encouragement, and appreciation for beautiful spaces inspired Coralynn’s path into interior design from an early age.
The name reflects the studio’s belief that thoughtful design has the ability to shape how people feel, connect, and experience everyday life.
Today, that philosophy continues to guide the studio’s work across multi-family, commercial, and hospitality environments.
A Collaborative Design Studio
Based in Vancouver, Bärbel Interior Design is a multidisciplinary
interior design studio specializing in development,
commercial, and hospitality projects across Western Canada.
The studio is known for creating spaces that balance
strong visual identity with functionality, constructability,
and long-term usability.
Team
Alongside Coralynn, the studio includes two senior level experienced designers and one admin staff member. This team supports concept development, sourcing, documentation, and project coordination across a wide range of project types.
